Alexander Slafkovsky defends his European Champion title in Slovenia

Slovak canoeist Alexander Slafkovsky showed his mastery in the last event of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen, Slovenia. He defended his European Champion title he won last year in Slovakia. In women’s kayak final Austrian Corinna Kuhnle became a European Champion.

During the last competition day of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Slovenia the remaining two categories were held. In women’s kayak final Corinna Kuhnle won her first gold at the European Championships. Two-times World Champion was the fastest already in the semi-final. In the final run she had a touch but still managed to cross the finish line one second faster than all the others.

Polish celebration at the Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana

Polish canoe team had many reasons to celebrate during the third competition day of the 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen. In the men’s kayak final Mateusz Polaczyk and Dariusz Popiela finished the race in positions one and two and Filip – Andrzej Brzezinski won silver medal in men’s C2 event.

Nuria Vilarrubla: »The first drop is amazing«

The 2017 ECA Canoe Slalom European Championships in Ljubljana – Tacen kicked off with heats in C2M, C1W and K1M events. Most of the favourites came safely through to the semi-finals, the biggest upset was in men’s C2 event, where multiple Olympic medallists Peter and Pavol Hochschorner (SVK) failed to proceed to the semi-final.
